GLOW WIRE TESTER (also known as Glow Wire Test Apparatus) is designed to carry out fire hazard testing as specified in IEC 60695-2-10 2000-10. Flammability test is to check the ‘Resistance to Fire’ of electrical insulators that touch directly conducting parts & also parts of insulators. This test is also referred in many other standards such as IS 11000, IS 3854 : 1997 / IS 1293 :1988 / IS 371 :1999 & IS 11000 Pt 2 Sec 1, IEC 60335, IEC 884/94, IEC 60598, IEC 61058, BS 6458, BS EN 60695–2-10,11,12, etc.
Influence of Supply Voltage Test Equipment ‘ISVT 01’ is used to measure and analyze the influence of supply voltage on energy meter. This test is described in various standards for energy meters such as IS 13779, IEC 62053 etc.As per CEI / IEC 62053-21, IS 13779 clause 12.7.2: The test shall be carried out under the following conditions: 1. Meter in operating condition. 2. Voltage and auxiliary circuits energized with reference voltage. 3. Without any current in the current circuits.
The test setup is require for Short Time Over current Test, Fault Current Making Capacity Test and Short Circuit current Carrying Capacity test on Prepaid Energy Meter as per IS 15884
Short-time Overcurrent Test Equipment is used to measure and analyze the influence of short-time overcurrents on energy meter. This test is described in various standards for energy meters such as IEC 62053, IS 13779 etc.As per CEI / IEC 62053, short-time overcurrents shall not damage the meter. The meter shall perform correctly when back to its initial working condition and the variation of error shall not exceed particular values specified on basis of the class of the energy meter.
The set up is designed to carry out the test as per IS : 13779 – 1999, Clause 11.2, for DC Components in AC Current Circuit. For balancing the Circuit Meter similar to ( identical ) to Meter Under Test is used and Swamping Load is used for better accuracy.
